I have an '09 Tiguan Comfortline and I absolutely love it an would not trade it for anything.  I'm coming from an '08 300C 4Matic and I find that driving the Tiguan is much more fun.   I would like to change the lock pattern when you shut off the vehicle from Driver Only open to All doors open.  It tells me in the Manual, but what they are asking me in the Manual does not match what I have on the actual control arm.  I just find it annoying that all the doors don't open and I would like to change it.

Thanks

You need to modify the setting to activate the "convenience" menu in your car, using a "VAG-COM" tool. The manuals list the Convenience menu, which is active in other parts of the world, but which has been deactivated (for no good reason at all) on North American Tigs.

This is a pretty bizarre move on VW's part...  My 2005 Jetta (bought the 5 cyl. as soon as it hit the lot) included this option in the same menu, so why in the world would a more advanced Tiguan (5 yrs later, no less) not include it?

Same issue with some of the light settings: I'd like to change how the int/ext lights come on when I turn off the car, and when I open it by remote, but the options are no longer present in the VW menu.

If any VW reps read this board: a firmware update for scheduled maintenance is really in order for this!
